Biography of Sheryl Crow
Sheryl Suzanne Crow was born in Kennett (Missouri) on February 11, 1962 to Wendell Crow and Bernice Crow. Two of her older sisters, Kathy, and Karen, are her parents. Steve is her younger brother. Crow started playing the piano when she was just six years old. She graduated from Kennett High School, 1980 and went on to study music at the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1984. She spent weekends performing with Cashmere an local group during college. Crow released her album Sheryl Crow in 1996. She was awarded Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album and Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. She spent the majority of 1997-'98 on tour, performing some of the dates on the Rolling Stones' Bridges to Babylon Tour and performing at the 1998 Lilith Fair concerts. In 1998 she released The Globe Sessions. The album won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album. Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter known all-around musical expertise and for her edgy pop songs, such as "All I Want To Do" (1993), " If It makes You Happy" (1996) as well as "Strong enough" (1996). Crow is the daughter of a piano player and a trumpeter. She graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia degree in voice and piano.
