Riley Keough
Danielle is an American actress. She was born in Santa Monica to Danny Keough and
Lisa Marie Presley. She is the daughter of Elvis Presley, actress, and singer.
Keough was raised by her father in Hawaii, Los Angeles and was able to spend
time with her mother in California. She started modeling at 15. Her appearances
at Dolce & Gabbana fashion shows and Christian Dior's cover shoots were
one of her many highlights. In her 20s, Keough was cast in a supporting role in
The Runaways (2010) as Marie Currie. Following The Good Doctor (2011) Keough
was a part of Jack & Diane (2012). She was then cast as a small part in
Steven Soderbergh's comedy Magic Mike (2012). Keough has appeared in other
independent films in 2012, including Yellow and Kiss of the Damned, before
appearing in the large-budget action film Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) which was
the fourth film of the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough
role as a law student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology series
The Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his
2009 film of the same name. Her performance was praised by critics for her
performance, and earned an Golden Globe Award nomination for the best performance
by an actress in a limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.
Keough's performance in the role of a lost young woman in American Honey (2017)
garnered accolades, as well as an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Keough
was the protagonist of the horror movie that was set in the aftermath of the
Great Apocalypse It Comes at Night (2017). Keough then reunited Soderbergh for
a role in Logan Lucky, a heist film. She followed this with roles in a myriad
of thriller and horror films in 2018, including Lars von Trier's The House That
Jack Built as well as the neo-noir Under the Silver Lake, and Hold the Dark. In
2019, Keough starred as the main character in the psychological horror film The
Lodge, followed by another leading role in the comedy-drama Zola (2020). Keough
portrays the role of Sandy Harrison in Netflix's 2020 release of The Devil All
the Time.
