Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian singer and actor from Canada. Her most well-known roles are in the American television shows Law & Order (where she was Claire Kincaid, a prosecutor) and Crossing Jordan (where she played Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons). She also appeared in movies like RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted and independent film Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The movie was written and directed by her. Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy was her father. He was a meat marketer and a sales/marketing executive. This position required many trips and caused frequent family changes. Maxine, Maxine's secretary mother had to leave the family in 1982. Eleanor, Eleanor's paternal grandmother, looked after her daughter in Kitchener. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline Hennessy is her identical twin sister. Jacqueline is an editor for a magazine in Canada. Hennessy is a mixture of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian origins on her father's side, and mostly Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She was a student at Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was where she graduated. She would busk in the subway system of Toronto. Hennessy was the sister of her brother. They made their debut on stage in 1988 as twin call-girls in Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress who ultimately got the role, said she was selected to be the character Dana Scully in The X-Files. The role was played by her for three seasons, leaving the show in 1996.
