Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sofer is an American actress, known for her roles on daytime television, episodic guest appearances, as well as made-for-television movies. Sofer has won the Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 in her role as Lois Cerullo on the soap series General Hospital. She has been portraying Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS' soap show The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a psychologist professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). Her family later moved to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Sofer later moved along with her father David Sofer, to Teaneck, New Jersey in 1970. They lived in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. They resided in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father was the director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She then attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer resided in North Bergen, New Jersey in the town where her father was Rabbi of the synagogue Temple Beth El. She graduated from North Bergen High School, later attending classes at Montclair State College. Sofer was the first person to be a Lois Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. She first appeared in 1993 as the manager of an ensemble. But her first big-name role was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap series Loving (1988-91). She is most well-known for her character on General Hospital as Lois Cerullo (December 15, 1993 - September 24 1996). In the following years, she was guest-starring on the show (February 7-17 1997 September 30th to October 2nd 1997). Her performance as the hilarious Lois has earned Sofer a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series. Sofer became a part of CBS's soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a role she had just created. The premiere of the show aired in July 2013. Sofer has been a guest as a cast member or guest in a variety of prominent prime-time TV shows, including Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She has also been a guest in The Chronicle, Ed and Friends. The premiere episode aired on July 12.
