Markie Post
Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek,
California and started her career on films and TV shows, including Card Sharks
(1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and later on make projects
like Double Dare (1976) and appeared on such television projects like 1st to
Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl
(2001). One of her most memorable TV role was "Christine Sullivan" on
Night Court (1984). She was featured in more than 156 episodes of the comedy,
from 1984 to 1992. Marylee (Armstrong) Post is her daughter. She was a poet and
a well-known nuclear physicist Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918 to April
7 in 2015). Two daughters were born to her second husband Michael A. Ross:
Katie Ross (born June 26, 1987) and Daisy Ross (born March 30 and died on March
30, 1990). Her birthplace was Palo alto, California and grew up close to Walnut
Creek in California. She was an athlete at Las Lomas High School, Walnut Creek,
California. Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon awarded her a
Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a trickroper in The Wildest West Show of the
Stars (1986). The body was cremated and the remains were given to her husband
Michael A. Ross. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie Post passed away on August
7, 2021. She was three months before what would have been her 71st birthday,
which was on November 4. She died 27 days after Charles Robinson, her Night
Court (1984) co-star, passed away on the 11th of July 2021. While the two shows
were not connected, Night Court (1984) was the final show to end with Christine
Sullivan's character departing for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) began
with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992),
and later she moved to a more secluded area following her work in Washington
DC.
