Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
who previously worked as TV correspondent for ABC News. Her tenures as
co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend (2014-2018) as well as co-host on The
View (2015-2018) are well-known. Prior to that, she was co-anchoring World News
Now and America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. She was employed in radio sales, because of the
limited opportunities for television. She was recruited to work as a WKEF/WRGT
production assistant. She later was promoted to reporter and anchor. She was
the weekend anchor and weekday sports anchors for WCPO TV, Cincinnati, between
2002 and 2005. She became a sports reporter for NBC's Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV
from November 2005 until December 2011, after her contract was terminated. In
December 2011 it was revealed that she was employed by the news division of
ABC, ABC News. On January 2, 2012 she debuted on the network's World News Now
and America This Morning. She also appeared on Good Morning America's fill-in
programme, Good Morning America, beginning on January 2, 2012. She was later
promoted to New York-based reporter for all ABC News programs. She was the host
of America This Morning and World News Now's final show on January 22 2013.
After Bianna Golodryga resigned to join Yahoo!, her debut as co-anchor of Good
Morning America Weekend was on August 9, 2014. News. On the 25th of August,
2015, ABC announced that she was joining The View as a co-host for season 19.
The contract was renewed by ABC for its 20th season on the 3rd of August. She
was also confirmed as co-host for Season 21. She was most well-known in the
22nd and 21st seasons of the series.
