Rose McGowan

"Rose", born on 5 September 1973, is an American actress. Her film
debut was an uncredited role in the comedy Encino Man (1992), McGowan gained
more recognition for her role in the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995)
with an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance. McGowan
made her debut in the horror movie Scream in 1996. Later, she was the headliner
of Jawbreaker (1999), Devil in the Flesh (1998) and Going All the Way (1997).
McGowan's character as Paige Matthews on the WB supernatural drama Charmed
(2001-2006) was her most famous role. McGowan was also a mainstay in Quentin
Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) and for
which she received nominations for the Saturn Award as Best Actress and for the
Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. In 2014, she appeared in Chosen, an action
thriller series. The actress released Planet 9, her first album as a studio
artist in the year 2018, and a repackaging followed in 2020. McGowan was named
the Silence Breakers in 2017 by Time magazine. This award recognizes McGowan's
work in the field of sexual harassment and sexual assault specifically in the
context of Harvey Weinstein cases of sexual abuse and the Me Too movement. In 2018,
she released Brave, a memoir, and was a part of Citizen Rose, a four-part
documentary series.
