Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on the 13th of February, 1979) is an American model and actress. She is also a fashion designer model. After launching her professional career as an actress, Mena Alexandra Suvari appeared as a guest on 1990s television shows Boy Meets World and High Incident. The film debut came with the show Nowhere, which was released in 1997. The actress made her way to big roles through her appearances as a character in American Beauty for which she received nominations for a BAFTA Award and American Pie each of which garnered more attention. After that, she appeared as the main character in Sugar & Spice (2000) along with American Pie star Jason Biggs. Spun was a 2002 independent drama film and Trauma, a (2004) thrillers were also prominent in her work. Also, she appeared on drama series on HBO Six Feet Under in 2004 she was nominated as a member of the Best Cast of the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Suvari was also featured in Day of the Dead, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, and the film version of The Garden of Eden. Suvari, a Lancome Paris Adaptive model and Lancome Paris cosmetics print ad girl has featured in numerous fashion blogs and magazines including Vogue. Suvari has been a loyal campaigner for and a supporter of the highly regarded African relief organisation, The African Medical and Research Foundation. She is an activist to empower women, as well as a member of several charities fighting breast cancer or the End Violence Against Women movement. Most well-known is her roles in TV shows such as Dark Angel Heroes the Chris Isaak Show Black Sash Reaper or Rookie Blue.
