  Kerstin Aita Marianne (Swedish pronunciation (listen) 29/09/1931 to 11/01/2015) was an Swedish actress, well-known for her beauty and stunning figure. Her performance as Sylvia in Federico Federlini's film La Dolce Vita (1960) was a hit and made her famous. Ekberg was born in Sweden on the 29th of September 1931. She was the sixth child of eight. Anita was a model for fashion in her teens. At the request of her mother Ekberg took part in Miss Malmo in 1950. She won the Miss Sweden contest. Even though she spoke little English Ekberg traveled to the United States to compete for the Miss Universe 1951 title. This was an non-official pageant at the time. The pageant was made officially recognized in 1952. Even though Ekberg didn't win the Miss Universe pageant, as one of six contestants, she did earn a starlet's contract with Universal Studios. Nicole Scherzinger was born on June 29, 1978 in Honolulu and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky.
